About Me

Kevin Yan

I’m currently in my third year of electrical engineering at the University of Toronto, with a focus on power electronics and energy conversion. I’ve worked on DC-DC converter designs and built my own PCBs. I’m currently looking for opportunities to apply these skills in industry projects or research.

Experience

My recent work focuses on DC-DC converter and DC motor design. I’ve built and tested discrete implementations of Buck, Boost, and Flyback topologies, where I focused on efficiency optimization, and loop compensation through recent projects.

Outside of coursework, I’m a member of aUToronto’s Electrical Team — the University of Toronto’s self-driving electric vehicle group — where I contribute to power subsystem development.
